About Gacha Gotchi

From personal collection to community hub
Gacha Gotchi didn’t start as a business plan. It started with boxes arriving from Japan, gachapons, and blind box miniatures that Jose Manuel originally bought for himself.
The craftsmanship pulled him in. The tiny details, the nostalgia tied to gaming culture and Tamagotchis, the pure joy of not knowing what you’d get until you opened it. Eventually, friends wanted in. The friends of friends. What began as personal imports quietly became something bigger.
Jose realized other collectors faced the same problem he once did: limited access to high-quality Japanese miniatures and no good way to experience that gachapon moment online. Gachagotchi exists to solve both, bringing premium collectibles and the thrill of discovery to enthusiasts who get it.
The problem: Loyalty programs that miss the points

As the store gained traction, Jose hit a familiar wall. He wanted to reward his most dedicated customers, but standard approaches felt wrong.
Blanket discounts devalue rare items. Generic points systems feel transactional. Traditional loyalty programs treat every customer the same, ignoring the fact that serious collectors think differently; they want access, not savings.
Jose also knew he needed to capture the authentic gachapon experience digitally: the anticipation before the pull, the randomness of the outcome, that specific rush when you land something rare.
“I was looking for a way to create a virtual gachapon experience for my store. When I discovered the Mysbox app and its integration with Koin, I realized I could finally bring my vision to life.”
The solution: Store credit that unlocks exclusivity

Koin gave Gacha Gotchi the framework to build loyalty around what collectors actually value: progression and access to rarity.
Here’s how it works: Customers earn store credit through purchases and mystery box interactions. Those credits accumulate in the background, creating a sense of progress over time.
Once collectors hit certain thresholds, they unlock access to Special Gachapon Machine – an exclusive virtual machine that only accepts store credit, never cash. Inside? High-value items, limited releases, things you can’t get any other way.
This creates a loyalty loop that mirrors the collecting experience itself: engage consistently, build your position, and gain access to increasingly rare opportunities.
Instead of discounting products, Jose uses Koin to tier the experience. Casual buyers get great products. Committed collectors get something more.
Testing, tweaking, getting it right

“The setup process was straightforward. I initially had some confusion with product quantities, but after testing, I achieved exactly the results I wanted.”
That hands-on validation phase let him refine the mechanics, making sure store credit accumulation felt balanced, that the exclusive machine delivered real value, and that the overall experience matched what he’d envisioned.
For Jose, the standout factor is how naturally Koin and the Mysbox app work together.
“This combination is essential for my niche. Customers who enjoy the surprise of blind boxes can earn store credit and later use it for even more exclusive rewards. It’s the perfect ecosystem for a collectibles store.”
What’s coming next
Gacha Gotchi is preparing for its next growth phase, and Jose is particularly interested in upcoming Koin features that align directly with his brand:
Gachapon-style opening animations would reinforce the aesthetic and feel of physical machines, making digital pulls even more immersive.
Koin store credit-exclusive products – items visible and purchasable only with store credit would create a true VIP tier within the store, something collectors actively work toward.
“I would love to be a Beta Tester for the Gachapon Machine animation. As a specialized shop, I can provide detailed feedback during testing. Koin store credit-exclusively will be key to my store’s growth.”
If you’re building a store around collectibles, limited editions, or any products where rarity and access matter more than discounts, Koin gives you a completely different approach to customer retention.
Reward engagement. Create tiers. Make loyalty feel like progression, not just points piling up.
