Instructions

The steps below show you how to connect Koin Cashback & Store Credit with Shopify Flow to automatically reward customers based on their order value. Since every store is different, you may want to tweak the setup to match your goals.

Step 1: Open your Koin dashboard

From your Shopify admin, open Koin Cashback & Store Credit app to access the Koin dashboard.

If you haven’t installed it yet, install Koin Cashback & Store Credit from the Shopify App Store first.

Step 2: Set up 3 custom programs for 3 customer tiers

In this example, we create 3 customer tiers:

Tier 3: Order value is between $150 and $349 → the customer receives $10 in store credit.
Tier 2: Order value is between $350 and $649 → the customer receives $50 in store credit.
Tier 1: Order value is above $650 → the customer receives 10% of the order value as store credit."

In Koin dashboard, go to Programs from the left menu then click Create program

In the template list, choose Build your own and click Create

Configure a program with $10 store credit reward and click Save when finished

Once saved, copy the Program ID. You'll need it in Shopify Flow

Next, following the same steps, configure another program with a $50 reward. Then copy the program ID.

Finally, create a program with a reward of 10% of the order value.

Make sure to select Percentage under Amount of store credit buyers receive field

Click Save when finished

Step 3: Create a workflow in Shopify Flow

Go to the Shopify Flow dashboard and click Create workflow.

From flow editor, Select a trigger. Then choose Order paid trigger.

Add 3 Condition branches to set criteria for issuing store credit.

Step 4: Set the conditions and link them to custom programs created in Koin

Select the first condition branch and click Add a variable.

Search for "total price set" and select order.totalPriceSet.shopMoney.amount

Set the order value condition

Select True on the condition you just set, then click Action, and select Koin

Select Issue credit to specific customer (through Koin program)

Paste the Program ID of the corresponding customer tier program you copied into the field

📌 Repeat the same steps for the remaining 2 customer tiers. And Turn on workflow when finished.

This is how the completed flow will look like once all set.

Step 5: Publish the Program in Koin

Return to the Programs section in Koin dashboard.

Select your 3 programs and click Publish to make it live.
