Instructions

The steps below show you how to use Qikify Checkout Customizer to only show store credit as a purchase payment option for specific collection or product. Since every store is different, you may want to tweak the setup to match your goals.

Step 1: Set up the store credit programs in Koin

Open Koin Cashback & Store Credit, set up your store credit programs as desired, and publish the program once the configuration is complete. If you are not sure how to set up the programs, you can refer to our Use Cases.

If a customer has available credits in their account and logs in before checkout, a store credit payment option will appear on the checkout page, as shown in the screenshot below:

Step 2: Download checkout customization app to limit store credit redemption

While Koin primarily manages credit-earning flows, the redemption process is fully handled by Shopify. To limit store credit redemption based on specific collection or product, you can use Qikify Checkout Customizer.

If you haven't installed the app yet, please install Qikify Checkout Customizer from the Shopify App Store first. However, please note that this app is only available for Shopify Plus stores.

If you are not a Shopify Plus merchant, consider using other free apps, such as Shopify Checkout Blocks.

Step 3: Hide redeemable payment method based on selected product or collection

Select Customizations, then choose Customize payment method.

Click Add action, then select Hide methods from the dropdown menu.

Step 4: Configure the condition to limit store credit redemption

Select Customize hidden payment methods, choose Name is exactly and enter Redeemable payment method.

Click Save to apply the settings.

Step 5: Double-check the condition

After successful setup, orders that are not the selected products or collections will automatically have the store credit redemption hidden.

Otherwise, the store credit redemption will appear as a payment option in the checkout screen.
